The Coalition of Refugee Service Agencies (CRSA) invites you to join us for the fourth-annual New Americans Celebration, including our third-annual U.S. Naturalization Ceremony.
March 7, 2017
Outreach - 7:45-11:30 a.m.
Ceremony - noon-1:00 p.m.
The New Americans Celebration:
The New Americans Celebration is the annual day of education and outreach for refugees, immigrants and Georgia community members who support them. Every year we welcome over 200 volunteers to the Georgia State Capitol to learn about engaging with your Legislators and to reach out to tell them why you feel refugees should continue to be welcome in Georgia.
Never been to the Capitol? Don't worry! Each year, over 60% of our volunteers have been visiting the Capitol for the first time. We hold a pre-event training so everyone learns just how easy it is to tell their legislators about their support for refugees and immigrants in Georgia.
This year's pre-event training will be held at Central Presbyterian Church at 201 Washington St SW, Atlanta, GA 30303. Check in will begin at 7:45 a.m. with training kicking off at 8 a.m.
Outreach will begin promptly at 10 a.m. when session starts and will run through noon when we all head downstairs to the naturalization ceremony.
Guests are asked to please register before arrival. You can register, free of charge, by clicking on "Registration" above.
We are currently working to organize our third-annual U.S. Naturalization Ceremony, which will take place directly following our outreach. Please check back for more details. You do NOT have to take part in morning outreach to come to this part of the event.

The best transit option for Atlanta residents is to take MARTA to Central Presbyterian or the State Capitol. Take the east/west rapid rail line to Georgia State Station. Exit station onto Piedmont Avenue. Turn LEFT and walk two blocks to Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive. If arriving for the morning, you'll go just past the Capitol to Central Presbyterian, which is across the street. If arriving for the ceremony, you can enter the Capitol through any of the security checks. Please be sure to bring a valid I.D.
A detailed parking map for the area can be found here.
