The New American Celebration will afford Georgia lawmakers an opportunity to meet Georgia’s refugees and their friends and to learn about the significant contributions they make as business owners, community and nonprofit leaders, and voting Americans. We will invite all of our lawmakers to join us for a legislative breakfast and enjoy the chance to share about the many values and ideals we all have in common. We believe this event is an invaluable opportunity to help Georgia lawmakers gain greater awareness of Georgia’s refugee community and its contributions to our state.
The New Americans Celebration is an educational event and does not include lobbying activities, including support or opposition to any specific legislation. Nonprofit organizations are permitted to meet with lawmakers and their staff in such educational capacities.
